Radar has picked up 4 approaching horsemen….

I suppose I should probably say something about the financial crises sweeping our nation.

I am broke.

I have no health insurance.

I owe no one any money except the IRS.

I have no pension other than Social Security.

I have never owned so much as a single share of stock.

I own no real estate or property.

I own my car and have a full tank of gas.

So I hope you understand when I say that I hope the world economy crashes, burns, rolls over a few times, burns some more before the EMTs arrive and euthanize the survivors.

The solution could not possibly be more obvious. We can no longer afford the rich. Radical changes are needed, starting with the abolition of all stock. Companies should be owned by their workers, who even more than shareholders have a vested interest in keeping their company viable over the long haul. Land should be owned in trust by the men and women (and kids) who work the land. Until everyone has a roof over their head, no one should own more than one home.

The concept of short-term profits should be abolished forever. Wall Street has proven that your average investor, gifted with a child, will sell that child to foreign “investors” when the child hits peak market value (about 8-9 years old). Studies have shown that out of every 1,000 investors, exactly none of them will keep the child until it is grown, let alone make further investments in more education.

But no one will listen to me. Which is OK, really. I’d rather wait a little longer and then get to watch the capitalists’ bodies swaying in the breeze as they hang from the streetlights outside my window.

Given the choice of their money or their lives, we all know they’ll opt to keep the money. Greed is insane that way, or haven’t you noticed the way in which the rich have turned our entire nation into a rat-infested, shit-smeared-on-the-walls one-bedroom apartment (but with a swimming pool out back and a greenhouse for the orchids). Like their European forebears from centuries before, the rich walk among us, handkerchieves over their faces as they try to ignore the stink from the mess they’ve made.

Kill the rich. Whether you hang them from a lamppost or feed them to your pets, they’re better off dead. Money doesn’t make them happy — they’ve said so, repeatedly.

City Pages digs up that time machine from the basement store rooms, allowing Judd Spicer to summarize tonight’s All-Star game this morning. [8th graf from top]

Fuckers. They wouldn’t let me use that time machine when I was at CP. Baseball purist that the editor was, he disapproved of my brilliant idea to bring back dead baseball players so we could field a dream team of Zombie All Stars.

That’s OK, I sold the idea to Hasbro.

I think I’ve got the drinking back under control again. It’s not good to find yourself in Nordeast at three in the morning pissing on some guy’s lawn

PZ lectures the unfaithful on behaving like torch-waving peasants being egged on by the village priest.

I admit that I thought about firing off some emails, but fortunately I discovered wordles and didn’t get around to it.

Here’s a wordle of PZ’s incoming email:

This is why the revolution is slow in coming: too many victims with their heads on backwards thanks to lying priests and Elmer Gantry fellating evangelicals.

As for all the wordles? Well, if you’re still on dialup, you might as well just shoot yourself now.

More coming but I’m running late thanks to all my wordle-ing.

  1. It’s time to burn down the plantation.

  2. I no longer keep my money in banks. I find I’m able to save more money that way, because instead of debit and credit cards, I now know how much I have to spend, and I realized that buying some Chinese made piece of junk isn’t going to make me as happy as watching the whole damn thing come crashing down.

  3. just a thought, but Mike Rivero’s t-shirt slogan…. ‘Eat the Rich”, also deserves mention.

  4. well clearly you’re just another jackass who’s more or less describing to a drowning man what the water tastes like… but where’s the floatation device you’re offering? Are you offering one at all? So in other words, because you were too damned lazy to actually get off your dead ass and make something of your life in the ONLY country on the planet that you CAN do so, your solution is to eat the rich? It’s such a shame that any jackass from a foreign country can come here flat broke and become filthy rich, and you’re from here born with ALL the opportunity they were born without, and still you’ve done nothing. So instead because of your ENVY of the wealth of others which they achieved by TAKING ACTION in their lives, you think that they deserve to be hanged? So you’re against capitalism? What’s your solution, communism? Besides, what does capitalism have to do with our current woes? It’s FASCISM that has caused all of this. It was your ignorance and apathy that got us here. You and more than 150,000,000 other Americans who when it came time to take their ass to the voting booth did the same thing that everyone else did. They voted Democrat or Republican, and in most cases they did so based solely on bullshit. That left/right, liberal/conservative bullshit we see every day on TV. And anytime anyone even mentioned the very NOTION of a third party candidate, I would be willing to be my left nut that YOU PERSONALLY answered that notion with a comment like, “oh a third party candidate has no chance, or whatever” Not to mention… when was the last time that YOU PERSONALLY checked the voting record of your local congressman, or state senator and CALLED THEM on any vote that they made which eroded our constitution? When was the last time that YOU PERSONALLY took the time to gather together several of your fellow citizens and sought an attorney to pursue a class action lawsuit against your local congressman and senator for exactly that? Not only that, while you were at it (which you weren’t) why didn’t you gather together many OTHERS to start seperate class action lawsuits against the very same congressmen and senators so that they would be forced to contemplate spending their entire fortune on defending themselves? When , I ask you? Alright then… shut the fuck up because you’ve got NOTHING to say.

  5. I sure hope that the vault of suppressed ideas and solutions is opened before the crash. I am certain that many extremely positive, humane and environmentally sound concepts are just waiting to be implemented. They have been deep-sixed by the existing system and its beneficiaries, mainly by destroying hope and the fact that we can truly solve our problems.
If greed and other personal problems didn’t screw us up on the way of making the world work, we would in a much better place already.
When one thinks of making the world work, it is easy to pick out the “divide and conquerers”.

  6. There has always been and always will be the rich. That’s how us working class slobs get jobs. Let’s start with a first course of bankers and lawyers and see if we’re full after that. They’re very filling. If we eat the Fed and the IRS we get a 40% raise so make that the appetizer!

  7. Amen!! … “Tax the rich, feed the poor, `til there are no rich no more” (from the song “I’d Love To Change the World” by Ten Years After).
Line up the greedy motherfuckers and we can run `em down with their SUV’s :)

  8. there has not always been the rich, nor will there always be- what history books have you been reading?

  9. The rich are packing up and leaving. I hear that China is becoming a new Haven for the rich. They looted the place and pretty much took everything with them; EXCEPT THE BILL of course.

  10. Yep there needs to be a limit on “rich” enough is enough. Obviously, sadly, we are not advanced enough of a race to allow rich people to exist. They have to give it up. Like you can get 1 million dollars but thats it, any more than that and you have to give it all to educating children or something like that. Because not educating children is how we got into this mess.

  11. Bahahaha….i hate to laugh, but the saying, eat the rich, is just to funny. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near those putrid, flabby, turkey-neck bastards. You do have the right to make an honest living, but on Wall Street, you get fucked by con men posing as capitalist. Our markets are just casinos, and the house always has the upper hand.

Don’t you worry, the rich will lose their money too…its happening now.

The ones we need to get to are the uber rich like Gates, Soros, Buffet, Rockerfeller, Rothchilds, Warburgs… Now that would be an exquisite meal!

  12. Capitalism as expressed in the US is as communist as it gets. Corpo-communism that is.

  13. REVOLUTION is the Solution!!!

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion…. And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms…. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” – Thomas Jefferson, in letter to William S. Smith, 1787

  14. Your angry at the rich you should also be angry at the majority of the poor who choose not to attend our schools and drop out early and to be lazy with their entitlement mentality that the govt owes them everything that others have to work for. If you don’t want to work you shouldn’t expect others to pay for your way.

  15. In Cuba I saw what went on and eight years ago I knew that it would happen here…….so I got ready.

Live in the middle of nowhere with food for seven years, water by gravity from a creek all that I need to fix anything in the house or property and with all kind of alarms.

With the silver that I am holding I should be ok for at least 25 years….however, TSHTF has lasted in Cuba for 46 years, so who knows.

“To be ready is not”… Ponce

    And more important….

“If you don’t hold it, you don’t own it”… Ponce

  16. I have to agree with fish completely. Just like all the other bloggers and self-styled info-warriors, the author provides absolutely no information on how to survive the impending disaster we are facing.

What you other bloggers fail to address is just what constitutes “rich”? How much money can you have before being considered “rich” and then subsequently executed for being “rich”?

So the guy who invents something like, oh, I don’t know, a medical device that saves lives like the defibrillator deserves to die because he got rich off of his invention?

You are the same bunch of f****** hypocrites that play the lottery and wish the winner to die because he got rich and you didn’t.

I am making plans to survive. I wrote a book on how to survive. If I get rich from my book, will you kill me for profiting from my hard work?

Some people say read “Atlas Shrugged” and at the same time say kill the people who did shrug. The whole point of that book was that Capitalism is good and so is wealth.

You people suffer from envy. You are envious that others have the ability you lack. You want what other have because you lack the ability to obtain through honest effort.

Our country ceased to be a republic long ago and has since become a fascist state where the corporate interests take precedence. It is unfortunate for people like me that you can’t understand how it got bad.

Now, you all can go back to watching the game on television and drinking your beer. That seems to be the only thing you people are any good at.

  17. You have a perfect example of companies owned by workers here in England.
The John Lewis/Waitrose chain. Very successful and very good quality and the workers each receive a share of the profit each year.
That is the way to go.

  18. Progress of humanity is driven by the desire to sequester and accumulate resources A.K.A become rich. Even the most primitive societies have moguls (by their standards).

Human psyche is fundamentally capitalist right from birth. Ever observed a toddler ‘hoarding’ toys or refusing to share a toy. People are hard-coded that way

bloody communists to hell with you all.

  19. I really do not know what to say to all of you. I landed on this sight by accident and took time to read things you have been writing. “Eat the Rich.” My God you sound like a bunch of antideluvian Frenchmen who thought that by killing “Veto” they would be saved. Turn off your damned computers and go back to work please. The time for dealing with problems in our country was no later than 1972. After that, none of us have a say any longer. Prepare to join the rest of the world in what they have been dealing with for hundreds and hundreds of years. Perhaps another “America-the-Free” country will crop up in all the mess and then we can all get on the boat like our ancestors did and go there.

  20. A great read all round,
its funny in so many ways,
the middle class is shrinking one percent a year, some of the very defenders of the elites will become the biggest whiners very soon.

Eat the ritch ,is like eating an endangered species ,
plus with all those carbs and fructos ,and other poisens like their prozac and heart pills ,it offeres a neo [new ] form of russion roulette[we wouldnt have the advantage of the data bases to check up on what the heck they been pumping into their bodies.]

Anyhow most of the rich i have met are credit rich [and cash poor] the money they thought they had in the banks or shares [they mortgauged their houses for] is going to be drying up [the margen calls as the stock market steadilly falls is only one more thing that would spoil the taste [fear makes the meat taste bad].

Even those who now are buying gold [and silver] will find it rather difficult to eat[i can see food going through the roof[pre the natzies the german people had the wealthiest middle class, at the end it cost 3 billion marks for a loaf of bread ,
[at the beginning of the neo con [natzi] war many wall street bankers paid for ,3 billion could have bought two very huge chemical companies [that supprisingly today are priced near one trillion
[selling the drugs they experimented and tested on the homeless then [just like they still test them on the worlds poor today.]

the super elites thoink they can survive this one [but never before have so many been fooled by so few] their plans to huide out in space while the pl;anet gets sterilised is bound to fail ,[it all reminds me of a joke; HOW do you make god laugh[tell him your plans for tomorrow],
EAT the rich indeed ,[they will be too busy eating their slaves ,and the lessor that have been decieved into supporting the one percent to own 95 percent[on paper [but as one wise poster said possesion is 9/10 ths the law], we have the very factories the rich DONT KNOW HOW TO USE.

Chew on that servants of sat-urn, santos ,monsanto ,bilderbergers or who ever you call your selves now ,by your deeds you will be revealed [the hungry will smell your food your servants will be cooking ]then come en mass to share the crumbs you were too lousy to share with them in the good times.

you could have ruled over gods
    but insted shall be swept away like pond scum, we still love you [they is still a time to repent, god loves the repentant sinner] but can you even now realise what you did to the least [you did to HIM?}

  21. I only have two words for your opinion piece: I AGREE!

  22. EAT THE RICH IS on the right track, but, not all of the rich used undue political influence to swindle their fortunes.

Those who accrued wealth as a result of hard work and sacrifice and who provided useful products and/or services shouldn’t be scorned or targeted. But, they’re few and far between.

The speculators/banksters/politicians who amassed fortunes “in service” to the corporate state should be perp walked to the nearest port and set adrift on immigrant ships to land on whatever shores will accept them. (Hopefully an island of hungry cannibals) They deserve whatever fates befall them for thinking that their wealth was a result of their cleverness or resourcefulness. It probably wasn’t. You and yours killed the people who tried to free us from oil dependency and federal reserve debt slavery, and those who benefited from treachery and murder deserve no quarter in the war to restore human dignity and the ability to feed ourselves honestly.

  23. We need to distinguish between wealth and riches and greed and industry. Like many have said, just because someone made the system work, or the system worked for them, doesn’t mean that they are like the evil rats that lust for money all around us. If you produce something, you should be rightly rewarded. The fact is that many of “the rich” have gotten to their position through murder, fraud, theft, and a host of other crimes, not the least of which is usury and taxation. They are leeches that diminish the wealth of all people. But worry not about these worldly games. Tend to your own soul’s fortune and the reward will be found. The casino maze of ordinary humans has been constructed for just such a purpose, and those who have taken unfairly will be given fair punishment in time. True wealth waits for all benevolent men.

  24. Eat the rich. They might also make a good source of alternative energy.

  25. Unbacked, paper dollars is the real problem. Also the Federal Reserve which is yet another infringement on our rights by the gov’t. Add it to the ever-growing list of violations:
They violate the 1st Amendment by opening mail, caging demonstrators and banning books like “America Deceived” from Amazon.
They violate the 2nd Amendment by confiscating guns during Katrina.
They violate the 4th Amendment by conducting warrant-less wiretaps.
They violate the 5th and 6th Amendment by suspending habeas corpus.
They violate the 8th Amendment by torturing.
They violate the entire Constitution by starting 2 illegal wars based on lies and on behalf of a foriegn gov’t.
Support Dr. Ron Paul and save this great country.
Last link (unless Google Books caves to the gov’t and drops the title):

  26. you’re just as bad as the government wanting to tell us what we can and can’t do according to YOUR agenda.

Not that I have any immediate plans to own a 2nd house, or a first one for that matter, but who gave you the right to decide whether I can buy it or not.

The problem with the world is that the people that run it are morons, and we’re all fools for allowing it. Here you are showing that you’re part of the problem.

we do have employee owned companies in the US that I hear are great to work for. Maybe you should try to work for one instead of talking about all the shit you are entitled to for sucking.

  27. Wasn’t there an old joke about the solution to all of the world’s problems being “have the hungry eat the homeless”?

It’s my favourite kind of solution: LOGICAL YET INAPPROPRIATE FOR DINNER PARTIES :)

  28. Goog post!
I wonder when the West will finally come to the conclusion that the capitalist model is doomed, because it is built on the weaknesses of people, not on their strength. And it will surely collaps – as it looks now, rather sooner than later.

  29. why not deal with the real issue? It’s not money, it’s greed.

If people had morals, convictions, yadda yadda, then would this be such a big deal? Not really.
REAL change happens when you change the hearts of people, not when you change laws.

  30. Haha, you sound like my husband! He can’t wait till the economy collapses and all the assholes get what they have coming. I however realize that the problem with that is I just may be out of a job. Or I might not. No one can predict the future. Companies who haven’t used the words “layed off” in decades are starting to do so. So while I would love to see the nation crash and burn, I just don’t know how we can avoid taking down 100 times as many innocents as assholes.
